Text description provided by the architects. The project arises from the idea of creating a building with a removable metal frame capable of holding an artificial wave machine for surfing, complemented by an architectural program consisting of: bathrooms / dressing rooms, restaurant / bar and administrative area, which revolve around the main attraction. The project is located in a commercial area to the west of the city of Guadalajara.
The ground floor contains: access, reception, bathrooms / dressing rooms, seating area and wave machine. Upstairs there are: the administrative area, bar and restaurant. All areas have large windows to observe the activities in the wave machine. All interior spaces of the building happen around the main attraction, which is visible from most points. To provide natural lighting, the project has an interior courtyard, also visible from anywhere. The main space of the wave machine is a double height space and also has a retractable roof that simulates surfing outdoors.
